When producing a CV, you need to be presenting your core and marketable skills, displaying your experiences and qualifications in a way that will engage a recruiter and attract them to want to know more. 
The CV is the first stage in the recruitment process and if you aren't highlight the right strengths or you're not structuring your CV in a clear and concise manner it could also be the last stage of the recruitment process.
